This was a hard but good week. We had one of our investigators get offended at church and walk out angry, dropping “FOUL” language at my District
Leader. We found no new persons who were interested in the Gospel this week, but realizing that it is almost Christmas we are hopeful each day. We know our message will be most powerful, with people understanding what
what the birth of the Savior has done for us. We are praying that we will have opportunity to testify of the Atonement of Christ. How, if it did not happen, we would be bound and that Lucifer would be in control of our body and we would be subject to him. How grateful I am to be free to choose to keep
the commandments. For then the Lord can continue to bless us. He has said, “If ye keep my commandments, ye shall prosper in the land.”
I guess we all need to give up our addictions to the worldly ways, and come unto Him in the little and big things. Christmas is a perfect opportunity to come unto Him. We need to be humble and ask for a priesthood blessing when it is needed.
I am grateful for the news from home and the comments on the blog. It comforts me to know of home and friends. After all is said and done, I am so grateful for your support. Elder Winkler
